Offering Fruit to Impermanence.
At imPEARma, we believe that what something is now
is not necessarily what it will always be.
A task may be more than a task.
A wrong turn may become part of the picture.
A moment may offer something that travels far beyond it.
imPEARma is an exploratory creative nonprofit in formation, beginning with online resources and art packages sent through the mail for children in kindergarten through third grade.
It is being built to be sustained through philanthropy, collaboration, and careful stewardship.
Its imaginative offerings may include illustrated coloring pages that reveal hidden mazes, short stories and books, online activities, questions, and other invitations to notice, make, and wonder.
As children’s worlds expand into school and larger shared systems, imPEARma hopes to offer a little room for curiosity, agency, experimentation, and more than one valid way forward.
An illustrated page might first appear to be a picture to color.
Look a little closer, and a maze may also be there.
Someone might follow the path.
They might color the picture.
They might do both—or discover that something else on the page interests them more.
Sometimes an offering seems to open a little room.
Room to look again.
Room to try something and change direction.
Room for the apparent task to be one part of the experience rather than all of it.
We make the offering with care and leave room for the person receiving it to decide what happens next.
Some experiences may end there.
Others may be shared, returned, reimagined, joined with another contribution, or carried into something new.
Collaboration can give an offering somewhere else to travel.
The work begins with children and welcomes curious collaborators—grown-ups, schools, organizations, and people with generosity to share.
For now, imPEARma is beginning with what it can offer responsibly.
One tree may be enough.
We are giving it room to grow.
